[Funglish] 003. Mini Skirts

Mini Skirts

Mary Quant designed the mini skirt in 1965. She named it after her favorite car, the Mini Cooper. 1.     Do you like mini skirts?

  • I think girls that like mini skirt is also private preference. but sometime, I saw the girl who is wear very tight mini skirt. It looks very uncomfortable. you gays feel good, comfortable?
  • This is just my opinion, I think girls is very hard to buy the clothes. Because man (like us) only need to T-shirt, and pants. That’s it. But the girls not only need to T-shirt, pants but also blouse, mini skirt, dress, and other very kind of clothes. So. How do you think of that ?

  • No mater unlimited skirts or long dresses, I’m not going to wear any kind of skirts

Believe it or not, many European countries banned the mini skirt because they felt it was an invitation for rape.

4.     DEBATE: The mini skirt tempts men to rape women. True or False?
a.     This is very sensitive topic. in my opinion, that’s true. it is a bit cause to happen that situation. Because if mini skirt that is too sexy, bad mans who is drink a lot could think of bad things
In the 60’s, the mini skirt became a prominent symbol for liberating women from sexism. Many women felt it was their right to wear what they desired. Nowadays, we see mini skirts everywhere. In South Korea, many girls wear mini skirts all throughout the year. They love to show off their legs. In North America, though mini skirts are abundantly seen, many girls tend to show off their boobs and cleavage more rather than their legs.

a. Ban mini skirts.
b. Ban tops that reveal cleavage.
c. Ban both mini skirts and tops that reveal cleavage.

  • Actually I don’t care anything. But if I have to choice one, I’m going to choice B

  • means very easy to understand
